Here is a cool picture I found with standard bed pillow arrangement options.

Ideas:

• Play with different shades of colour, patterns & textures.
• Pick up colours from your over all colour scheme of the room or from the bed comforter. (Figure 2)
• Go for a simpler bed comforter if you are playing with different textures & patterns. (Figure 2)
•  If you have decided to go with a patterned or textured bed comforter, incorporate different colour options with a simpler design. (see figure 1 below)

Remember ....

Remember porportion & scale when choosing appropriate pillow sizes for your bed!

Ex. tall head board = tall pillows
      large bed width (king size bed) = pillows for king size beds
      .... etc.
